High Performance Upgrade ... the ideal way to upgrade sound quality
Sonique Audio’s very popular Special Edition (SE) upgrade is available for most models. On this page are the enhancements and performance improvements that this option introduces and a quick reference chart showing which Special Edition improvements are applicable to relevant models.

SELECT CROSSOVER. Components are all hand matched to within 1percent - matching as close as possible the reference speaker’s crossover. This deliver’s superb accuracy with excellent and precise imaging, a feature that Sonique is so well known for.
SELECTED DRIVERS. Drivers are selected so they match as close as possible to the reference. This combined with the matched (SE) crossover is another reason that Sonique can deliver its signature, the almost holographic three dimensional rock-solid imaging.
SPECIAL WIRING. The SE internal wiring has been selected to be almost transparent. This extremely large diameter ultra pure cabling reduces any colouration of sound.
WAVEBAR. Wavebar is strategically fixed to the inside panels of each speaker cabinet to reduce resonance. This extremely heavy product, Barium loaded polyvinylchloride improves clarity and eliminates much of the cabinet colouration that may otherwise be apparent.
SAND FILLED. This feature adds more mass to the cabinet, again reducing resonances and cabinet colouration, improving the top-end, mid-range and delivering precise bass.
SPIKE UPGRADE. Speaker spikes are designed to improve sound, they couple the speaker box to the floor which in turn reduces resonances which are transferred from the speaker box. They are also height adjustable and provide extra stability.
CABINET UPGRADE. This option provides a choice of timber finishes.
